I was a caregiver to a wonderful elderly couple, the wife had dementia and the husband was in his 90's and needed help. I would assist with getting him to the bathroom and basic care needs as in meals and medication for his diabetes. I did more fo her, I helped with getting her to the bathroom, showering and getting dressed. Medications on strict schedules. Meal prep and house cleaning/ laundry. I would engage with her using the games and activities to help with the dementia. I loved interacting with them and providing companionship. I worked with them until they passed last year. I am a mom of 5 kids ranging from 19 to 8 months and truly love helping others. I would love to be able to know your mom and not only take care of her but hopefully become her friend.
