With a decade dedicated to senior care, I've learned that compassion and reliability are paramount. As a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Home Health Aid, I provide respite care, transportation, and hospice services. I also assist with errands, shopping, light housekeeping, meal preparation, dementia care, and medical management. I am experienced in handling confusion, agitation, or behavioral changes. I understand the importance of earning trust and offer regular updates via text or phone call, always following your preferred communication method. Supporting families and providing reliable care is my motivation. I am patient, calm, compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I'm eager to bring my skills and caring nature to your family, providing peace of mind knowing your loved one is in good hands.
Amy blatantly misrepresented her ability to care for others - she is not a stable individual. I recently hired her for a 4 hour job and she ended up talking to me about her trauma during that time as our getting to know each other and companionship time. It upset me and it upset her even more so that I had to console her. She went into great detail about how she felt about her life and what happened and then before the time was over she said she had to leave and couldn’t finish the time. I offered to get her payment for the time she had been with me and she said she felt bad because she had not been honest with me about some of the things that she had said. I had no idea what she was talking about. I just know she broke into tears and having her here was not a good experience and she did not meet my needs nor did my advertised job get completed. So, my husband was very disappointed when he came home and nothing happened except that I had been made upset and uncomfortable by yet another poor representative through the care.com system. Then a day or two later, she had the audacity to text us to say to mail us her check for the full amount of the entire time (even though she didn’t work it ). This after she wouldn’t stay for the full job or stay long enough for me to even write it the day she was here. I don’t try to judge others who have been through traumatic experiences and are trying to get back on their feet but this woman should not be allowed to help sick, elderly, or anyone with compromised health conditions, in my opinion, especially if they need honesty, and reliability. This individual mentioned at the outset of our conversation getting to know each other that if she couldn’t make it, that her older daughter could step in! I was shocked. I was not expecting anything like that ever to come out of any individual care giver’s mouth unless they are a part of a group or business team. I hired AN individual person whom I was trying to get to know and it became evident very quickly that she was not the right person for our job. Unfortunately, it cost us the completion of our work. Extremely frustrating and disappointing and yet another reason to choose not to find help off Care.com - the people who are advertising for employment are very erratic and disappointing.
