About Amber

Hello! My name is Amber, and I genuinely enjoy helping people. Over the course of my professional and personal life, I have worked as a residential counselor with teenagers, a counselor for adults with disabilities, a program specialist for early childhood literacy grant programs at the US Department of Education, a kindergarten after-school coordinator and teacher, a summer teacher at the DSCBA, and a mom of a child with Down syndrome and autism. I have worked with children of all ages and with a wide range of abilities and needs. I have picked up a wide range of helpful tools used in ABA therapy, speech therapy, PT, and OT. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and am a firm believer in providing a safe and positive environment for children. I believe that children learn best when they feel supported, safe, loved, and happy.
