About Amber

Hello! My name is Amber, and I am currently working towards a bachelors in child and adolescent psychology after achieving my associates in human services. I have spent the last 2+ years working in a group home as a residential counselor with kids ages 2-13 years old. In this role, I help kids in the system work towards achieving their goals through therapeutic and individualized method of care, and help them build positive attachments/relationships, teach them self-regulatory skills and competency skills. I love working with kids, and especially enjoy doing art activities as I am an avid painter (when I have the time that is). I love getting to work with kids, and have felt much fulfillment from it. I am now hoping to move on from my current work establishment, and find a more suitable work arrangement as I work towards my degree, and would love to continue working with children/child.
