About Emily

Hello my name is Emily and I am 30 years old. I am CPR/first aid certified with the AHA and also have a CNA course under my belt. I am very experienced working with children. I have completed two classes on child development and child care, and worked in the Barnstable Early Learning center for two years. I have experience being responsible for up to 4 or 5 children at a time by myself. I can provide a reference from a family I worked with for 5 years. I have a great deal of experience with special needs children, as my younger brother is autistic. I also currently work in a residential home children with developmental disabilities age 4 to 16. I love working with children, encouraging a healthy lifestyle with them and helping them meet their full potentials. I enjoy being active with kids and creating a fun and safe environment.

Emily was hired for my family when my little girl was only 2 years old and we had just started our family. We were not on care.com at the time. Our little one was always out discovering new places and was always tired after Emily left! (A very good thing!) I loved her easy going personality and flexibility, everything was very comfortable and she always responded to my texts. Something very helpful that she didn't mind doing for me was sending a photo of my little one every time she was somewhere or did something new. It was like being there when I had to work! Unfortunately our family needs grew and the availability needs were not matching. I'm sure Emily would make some other little kids very happy. My little girl, (now about to turn 6) still has a photo of herself and her babysitter in her photo album on her dresser.
