About Amber

Working with children has been a central part of my life since I was young. I began caring for my sister at 10, helping with routines and potty training, and that early responsibility sparked my love for childcare and teaching. I went on to study education and earned my degree in Elementary Education. During that time, I nannied for families in New York City and later worked as an infant and toddler teacher in a daycare. I then became an elementary school teacher, teaching fifth, second, and first grade for several years in New Jersey. I have managed classrooms of up to 30 students and bring a calm, structured, and nurturing approach to my work. I offer tutoring, free reading assessments, and learning kits. Through the years, I babysat for multiple families in both their homes and mine. My philosophy is to support the whole child *academically, emotionally, and socially* while creating a warm, positive environment where children feel safe, confident, and cared for.
