About Amanda

Growing up my Mom was sick my whole life. From a very young age I learned how to take care of others. She had to learn how to walk again when I was in the 1st grade. She had PICC lines, feeding tubes, seizures, nurses in & out of the house. I helped my Dad take care of her up until she passed away in 2013. I now help my Dad who is 78 years old with things that he needs help with. He recently hurt his knee so I stepped into a helper role for him. I love to take care & nurture people. It gives me great joy to know that I have made an impact on someone elses life. I work as a PCA in a group home with 4 lovely ladies. I prefer overnights as I work from 11p-9a Sun/Mon/Tuesday nights. I have experience with hoyer lifts, Ostomy bags, leg bags, feeding tubes, individuals who are blind & nonverbal, dietary restrictions & specific preparations, wheelchairs, and individuals with autism. Also, I am certified to pass medications.
