About Amanda

Hello! I am 36 years old with over 20 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education. This includes work as a full-time nanny for many years, as well as working as a preschool teacher, Sunday school teacher, academic tutor, camp counselor for children with cerebral palsy, and one-on-one caretaker for children with Down's syndrome and autism. I have experience with newborns/infants, including multiples. I am first aid/CPR certified and have completed several academic courses related to child growth and development, child psychology, and linguistics courses related to first language acquisition in young children. I have my own reliable transportation and I am a non-smoker. I am the type of babysitter who likes to keep kids having fun and engaged! Whether that's teaching activities about weather or another fun age-appropriate topic, taking them to story time at the library, baking cookies, or anything fun we all want to do (with the parents' permission, of course)!
