About Amanda

Hi I'm Amanda. I started babysitting for family friends around age 14. While in high school I was working as a nanny for a family with 3 boys from birth to 4 years old. With this family I worked on basic cognitive and communication skills and taught basic life skills (like potty training, tying shoes, and simple math). We would spend as much time outdoors as possible; take walks to local parks, creating obstacle courses in the back yard, or playing at the water table. I worked with that family until I entered college. During my time at UConn I worked at a daycare with children ages 3 months-5yrs and also as a PCA for in home care. I spent the summer working in the toddler room and babysitting on the weekends. I'm currently employed as a tech in the emergency department and volunteer as an emt in my town. I will be going off to physician assistant school in September and would love to find a fun job in the meantime. Please reach out with any questions.
