About Amanda

I am a trained educator with experience as a teacher within the third and fourth grades, as well as within a preschool classroom. I have also worked as a tutor for over five years, assisting students of various ages, from preschool to middle school. I have tutored these students in the areas of reading, writing, math, organization, and time management. I am a licensed teacher who is passionate about working with children and giving them the opportunity to succeed within the classroom. I feel that one-on-one tutoring time can often provide a student with that self-confidence and motivation they need to acquire new skills and work toward accomplishing their goals. I will take the time and energy to learn about each student, determine the ways in which they learn best, and address their specific learning challenges.
