About Amanda

While I have not been a tutor, per say, I do have experience as a substitute teacher and many years of experience with children. I graduated from George Fox University in 2018 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement. I stepped away from substitute teacher during the pandemic, the same year I became a mother. Now I have two young girls. During the pandemic I aided my siblings who have Down Syndrome with their virtual learning. I learned that they had little to no skills in reading or writing. Over the course of that school year, I taught them how to clearly right their letters and read basic words. I am passionate about education being accessible.
