About Amanda

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With 20 years of experience as a Certified teacher, I specialize in helping elementary students master Math, English, Science, and essential study skills. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I actively observe your child's interactions with new material to tailor my approach. Whether we use visual aids, hands-on activities, or interactive discussions, I focus on building confidence and critical thinking rather than simple memorization. I keep students motivated by breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and celebrating every "aha!" moment. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we work as a collaborative team. I am happy to meet at your home, online, or at a local library to support your student's academic journey. I look forward to helping your child discover the joy of learning.
