About Amanda

hi! i'm amanda ( aj ) and i've been taking care of kids since I was able to hold a baby. i'm 25 and have 11 years of childcare experience. when I was younger, I helped care for children of family friends, and as a teenager I quickly started babysitting and volunteering in preschool programs. I worked as an after school program aide for six years, from 2016 to 2022, until I left in pursuit of full time employment. I have been nannying with compassion and competency since 2021. I have experience with all ages, from infants to middle schoolers. I love outdoor time and art projects, and have never met a kid I didn't get along with. behaviorally, I follow a gentle parenting approach with Montessori elements.
