About Amanda

Loving, patient, hard working I like working with kids because That allows me to be committed to my daily full time job as a Head Start lead teacher, and the flexibility to work evenings. I started working with children when I was in high school, I was then a stay home mom for 12 years with my own children in the following years. I started working in a Montessori school (3-6) year olds)and then transitioned into play based programs. I was previously a preschool (3-4) teacher in Fl and also a nanny part time. Currently I work for HACAP as a HeadStart teacher for the last 8 years serving (3-5) year olds. In my spare time, I like to-Spend time at home, Pilates, spending time with my children, and cooking. I am an easy going, patient person who enjoys watching and even learning from others. My skills include CPR, and First Aid. I have several training in PBIS including building social emotional development in early childhood, and children who are on the spectrum.
