About Amanda

My name is Amanda and I am a High School English Teacher in Concord, NC. I graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's of Education in English Education 6-12, and I have several years of experience in various forms of childcare. I have been a nanny for a handful of families throughout my years in college, working with children ages 9 months- 12 years old and families between one to five children. I have experience with sick children, special needs children, and multiples. I have worked two summers at Camp Grace, an overnight summer camp that works with at-risk urban youth. As a counselor, I was responsible for 6-8 girls ages 7-18. I volunteer in my church's children ministry, mostly with the 2-4-year-olds, and worked for a year as a tutor at a local family development center. I am patient, compassionate, and am all about teachable moments! I love crafts, adventures, and the outdoors- I am unafraid of getting dirty and love to say yes!
