About Amanda

Nurturing young minds is truly my passion. For the last 15 years, I've had the joy of working with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I have been a high school teacher for the past 7 years and a youth minister before that. I am currently working on my dissertation for my PhD in education and want to continue caring for and educating children in the meantime! My Masters degrees in Education and Biological Sciences have provided me with a strong foundation, which I use to create enriching and stimulating environments. I'm patient, creative, and always approachable. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules and happy to follow the parents' preferred communication method. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I'm comfortable caring for up to four children. It would be a privilege to bring my experience and dedication to your family, helping your children thrive.
