Hello!!!! My name is Amanda, I'm passionate about unlocking every student's unique potential through personalized support. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning, empowering students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. With one year of experience and some college, I actively listen and observe students to assess their individual learning styles, adapting my methods accordingly. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests, celebrating small successes, and breaking down complex problems. Regular communication with students and parents is key, allowing me to tailor my approach for optimal results. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am comfortable tutoring Math, English, and Science at the Elementary and Middle School levels, whether at a student's home, a center, online, at the library, or school. I am CPR and First Aid trained.
