About Amanda

I have 15+ years of experience! I have experience with ASD and Down's syndrome and am comfortable working with special needs. I work at WashU studying anxiety in children and will soon study Social Work there! I volunteer at Annie's Hope. I am comfortable with grief and conversations surrounding it. I am certified in Basic Life Support. I'd describe myself as cheery, playful, and empathetic. I love working with kids because I believe fostering joy and emotional resilience is the key to a life of happiness. I'm looking for a job that allows me to nurture creativity and curiosity in children. I started working with kids when I was 10 years old! In my spare time, I like to paint, read, spend time outside, play with my cat, bake, and play music! One thing you should know about me is that I am experienced in handling big emotions and difficult behaviors. My skills include cultivating emotional awareness and creating an environment where children can express themselves.
