About Amalia

Hi! I'm a college professor with over 15 years of teaching experience and a Ph. D. in Criminal Justice. I've taught at a number of universities in NJ and NY, helping hundreds of students succeed in challenging courses. I believe every student learns differently. I tailor my approach to each individual's learning style. Whether the student's need is to understand difficult concepts, improve study skills, prep for exams, complete assignments, or build confidence, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. I have extensive experience teaching/tutoring in writing, social sciences, psychology, sociology, criminology, and college-level academic skills. I also enjoy helping students strengthen their organization, critical thinking, and analytical writing.
