About Lara

Hi! My name is Lara, and I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance. I have over six years of experience teaching private voice lessons, helping students develop their vocal technique, confidence, and performance skills. I specialize in audition preparation, NYSSMA repertoire, musical theatre and show tunes, and classical voice. In addition to music instruction, I have experience tutoring English and supporting students with their writing and communication skills. My university coursework included music education, teaching, and writing, which has helped me develop a thoughtful and adaptable approach to working with students. I love helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and enjoy the learning process. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where each student feels comfortable learning at their own pace and working toward their individual goals.
