About Amaka

As the second oldest of five siblings (with a 12 year age gap between me and the youngest), childcare has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I managed everything from morning routines and school drop-offs to homework help and dinner for my younger siblings while my parents worked demanding careers. I've cared for infants, toddlers, and older children--babysitting through college and now tutoring my 7-year-old cousin each week. As a Yale graduate, I especially love nurturing children's minds through reading, creative activities, and making learning fun. I'm bubbly, high-energy, and genuinely enjoy both running around playing games and quiet story time. Now running my own startup, I have flexible availability and bring the same dedication to childcare that I apply to my professional life. I still fondly remember the babysitters I had as a child. It feels meaningful to now be able to give back in the same way.
