About Alyssa

Hello, I started working with kids as a teenager but I have 3 kids of my own now and it makes a huge difference in how I interact with kids. I've learned a lot more patience since having my own kids. My kids are autistic and one is medically complex so I have plenty of experience working with special needs kids as well. I'd describe my personality as talkative, down to earth, and kind. I like working with kids because I feel like we are shaping the next generation. Like we should do better with them than what we received as kids. We should be kind to them while also having boundaries and understand them while also teaching them to understand others. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my kids. We watch tv and go outside to the pool on nice days. My skills include being able to manage taking care of multiple children, being gentle and understanding, and working with autistic and medically complex children.
