About Kelly

I am a mother of three children myself who are just starting to leave the nest. I have worked with children in a variety of settings from domestic violence shelters to child protective services. I am pursuing a career change. I have home schooled my children and only have one high school student left at home. I believe kids should be allowed to explore nature and be outdoors as much as possible. Yes, there may be skinned knees but there will also be memories. Children should also be allowed to enjoy quiet time with a book or a hobby they enjoy as well. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Human Services with a concentration in marriage and family therapy. I have worked in children's shelters, as a substitute teacher, as an autism line therapist, as a caretaker for disabled individuals of many ages, as a home consultant with families involved in child protective services, and as an anti-human trafficking advocate.
