About Alyssa

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. I have a college degree, a year of experience as a college teaching assistant, and experience tutoring students. I focus on building genuine confidence rather than rote memorization and create a supportive, patient environment where we break complex concepts into manageable steps. My own experiences shaped how I teach. I participated in spelling bees as a kid and was lucky to have a retired teacher run a study club for us that made learning fun and engaging. I want to create that same excitement for my students! I adapt my approach to each student, using visual aids, hands-on activities, or discussion based on how they learn best. My goal is to foster curiosity, build confidence, and help students feel proud of their progress. I'd love to support your student's academic journey!
