About Alyssa
I have about 2 years experience prior to and during obtaining my CNA license with taking care of my grandfather with Alzheimer's at our home. I learned about oxygen therapy, hearing aids, medication organization/administration. I took his blood pressure, pulse ox, helped him with walking and PT, as well as doing his cooking, laundry, and bathing assistance. Professionally, I have two months of paid CNA experience at a long-term care facility. I practiced skills like mechanically and physically transferring patients, assisting with ADL's, completing personal care tasks, taking vitals, serving and assisting with meals. Being a CNA is so rewarding because I get to build very strong personal relationships with patients.
