About Alyssa

Helping students find their confidence and enjoy learning is what drives me as a tutor. I specialize in English, Writing, History, & Social Studies, as well as general study skills. I work with students of all ages! My approach is tailored to your/your child's needs. It's important to meet students where they are and build from there! I take time to understand how each student thinks, where they're getting stuck, and what actually interests them. Tying course materials to students' interests and hobbies helps them stay engaged, understand key concepts in greater depth, and develop the critical thinking skills and study habits essential for their success in school and beyond. I believe open communication with students, parents, and teachers is what makes tutoring actually work long-term. My goal isn't to get through the next assignment, it's to build real confidence and skills that stick. I'd love to be part of your academic journey!
