About Alyssa

I like to incorporate "fun & functional" into every activity I plan for the people I care for - in fact, it's basically my full-time gig. I'm a licensed speech-language pathologist- not looking to provide therapy- but to provide care services influenced by my knowledge of child development, experience with a wide range of abilities, and my passion for fostering growth amongst young and vulnerable populations. I have over 10 years experience providing some capacity of professional caretaking, including: babysitting children ages 1-10, working at a special recreation center, managing summer camps for kids with and without disabilities, caretaking for adults with significant needs, and clinical experience with various populations. I can handle a structured plan just as well as chaos. I love being silly and eliciting a good laugh, but I'm not afraid to hold expectations set by the family.
