About Allyson

I'd describe my personality as patient, fun, and empathetic. I like working with kids because they bring joy to my day. I like experiencing different personalities and encountering different family dynamics. My goal is to help families in whatever ways I can! I started working with kids when I was 15 babysitting for family friends. I then started working with children full time during college as a Registered Behavior Technician. After undergrad I spent a year as a researcher at Baylor conducting psychology studies with children in local schools. I now am a Child Psychology PhD student at Baylor. I am experienced in caring for special needs individuals (ASD, IDD, behavioral disorders, and medical fragilities) as well as those who are neurotypical. I have a beginner level knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, and ASL. One thing you should know about me is I'm always flexible and willing to learn! I also care deeply for those I work with and treat every family as if they're my own.
