Since I turned 15, I was a babysitter for multiple families that lived in my neighborhood. The children aged from 4-12 years of age, giving me plenty of late toddler and early teen experience. I loved to take the kids swimming, help them with homework, read books, play hide and go seek and build a relationship with the kids as not only a babysitter, but a trusted resource. My sister has a 1 1/2-year-old boy and a newborn girl, which has given me plenty of insight on toddlers and newborns, and getting very acquainted with poopy diapers, bottle feeding and tantrums. I absolutely love being around kids and hearing the innocent way they view the world. Sometimes I think adults can learn more from children than they can other adults.
