About Allison

I have been babysitting since I was a teenager ( for 10 years). I have babysat for children ages 3 months to 12 years old. I have also been teaching swimming lessons for 7 years, part time. I taught at a daycare for about 2 years. I worked in all of the rooms from infants, toddlers, twos, and threes. Before I recently moved, I was a nanny for a family in St. Louis for 2 years. I work M - F until 4 p.m., so I am able to babysit after work and on the weekends! I am CPR/First Aid certified. I am also boating certified. I am the oldest sibling in my family and am nurturing by nature. I just moved to the Lake area with my husband after graduating with my Biochemistry degree. I love dogs and have 2 Boxers! I am extremely good at multitasking. I believe that routine is extremely important to children. However, I am very patient and also understand the importance of flexibility! I personally do not watch very much TV and enjoy being active. I love being outside. I enjoy water sports, kayaking, swimming, hiking, etc. I also love to read and try to share this with the children I care for. I love working with kids because they have such big imaginations and hearts. They are always fun and interesting. Every child is different, and that is so challenging and entertaining to me.
