About Allison

Up until now, my children have either been homeschooled or educated in Montessori education-style schools. I have always believed in a blend of hands-on learning with traditional schooling because no one method is perfect for everything. I taught public school for third grade for only a short time before I had my son and realized with that experience that too many kids fall out of love of learning way too early. I chose Montessori schools then for my children to begin but then homeschooled them with more a blend of Montessori and traditional so they understood how to use the best of both. I did not use a virtual school but chose to teach them myself and we dove heavy into all subjects and had a blast along the way! I love helping kids fall in love with reading, the secrets behind math, the excitement of science, and the importance of history. Both my children are straight A students, top of their classes, and I feel it's my passion now to help more children to their success!
