About Allison

Hello! My name is Allison and I am a 5th grade teacher looking for a part-time childcare job. I love working with kids-- helping kids learn and seeing them grow in their personalities are my favorite things about my job. I started working with kids when I was in college. I was in a classroom for 2 days a week, then I became a full-teacher in 2024. I would describe myself as patient, firm, and kind. I don't believe in yelling at kids. I will always be kind to them, but I will also be firm. I will ensure they are being safe, kind to others and themselves, and that they are happy. One thing you should know about me is that even though I am not a parent yet, through teaching, I get a glimpse of what it's like being one. I understand the worry of your kids being safe and cared for. I also understand the joy of seeing them learn new skills. I love making activities that are fun and engaging for the kids, and I love to help with homework!
