About Aliyah

Hi, name is Aliyah! I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, giving me a strong foundation in math, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. I currently work as a math intervention specialist at two schools, where I support students with different learning styles and help them strengthen their understanding. I have several years of experience tutoring students in engineering topics, dance, and math at the K-12 levels. I am also a professional dancer and fitness athlete and have been dancing for 19 years and practicing in fitness athletics for 8 years. Able to teach all dance styles. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable steps while building confidence and critical thinking skills.
