I love childcare because it is such a special honor to watch children grow in their abilities, thinking, and characteristics. My priorities when watching children are as follows: 1) ensure a sense of safety and comfort for the child 2) support the child as they explore the world and their abilities 3) foster an environment and activities in which the child can face and overcome challenges, creating a healthy sense of fulfillment and capability in the child. I have done a year's coursework and received a certificate in early childhood education. I have had time in a professional childcare classroom, and worked with many families over the years. I continue to pursue further knowledge of best practices for childcare, and in school my work was exemplary on this topic. I am happy to discuss anything I've learned with parents!
