About Alexis

I am a passionate sitter for children of all ages and believe that academic education as well as the arts are extremely important for children. This belief is at the foundation of how I care for others. I've cared for children for over 20 years and have worked with kids 0 months-13 Years old. At any single time I can watch 1-5 children at a time. I have been a teacher at a Preschool for 2 years and substituted at a Preschool for 2 years. I am CPR certified. In addition to my care taking experience I have been a dance instructor for the past 9 years, teaching kids and teens ages 2-18. With the kids I babysit, I love to dance, sing, do arts and crafts, go on walks, go to parks, play with toys/board games, and make up our own games. I don't believe in TV or technology with kids and I'm always playing actively. I embrace the imagination of kids and encourage them to use it while they are learning through play.
