Caring for children has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a large household full of kids of all ages thanks to my ever growing family. I began working as a mother's helper in my freshman year of high-school nine years ago. It's hard to believe it has been almost a decade since I started my career as a nanny but that is a true example as to how quickly time goes by when you love what you do! Throughout the years I have worked with a big variety of ages -newborns, active babies, toddlerspreteens, and have built lasting relationships with a diverse circle of kids and parents. I'm a very outdoorsy person and love playing outside, going for walks, getting creative with arts and crafts, and keeping the TV and tech games to a minimum since it's important for children to stimulate their brain and imaginations at a young age. Besides working with a different range of ages, personalities and needs, I also have experience with developmentally challenged children and young adults.

Karenn babysat for our two children during the two weeks before Christmas and we could not be happier! It was a very busy time for my wife and I and we needed someone during the workday to watch our 8 month old son and our 4 year old daughter. She was kind, eager and very quick to learning the ways we "do things" in our family. Within a day or two, she had it down! Karenn instantly bonded with our 8 month old and was down on the carpet keeping him engaged, active and safe. He is a very difficult napper and it made us very happy to see that by day 2, she was able to put him down with no tears. Not an easy task and a testament to her great instincts! Our daughter fell in love with Karenn too - and if she could write this review herself, she would. Karenn played dress-up, puzzles and every silly game an imaginative 4 year-old can think of and had her laughing all day. On the first day, our daughter told Karenn how much she enjoyed coloring and art. The next day, Karenn brought her personal sketch pad for them to draw in together. It was such a sweet gesture! She's a great, responsible and kind caretaker. Highly recommend.
