When I entered high school, I started gaining interest in caring for those with special needs. I became a member of Best Buddies, volunteered for Special Olympics and started my first job at caring for individuals with disabilities- twins with autism. With all of these activities, I gained many lifelong friends and life-changing experiences. From then, I have provided care for many different individuals. Diagnoses include autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X, epilepsy, and Little Head Syndrome. This has included allergy-conscious meal preparation, some sign language communication, and working with the family's incentive programs.
