About Alexis

I'm an experienced educator and childcare provider with decades of experience in various roles, including teaching, tutoring, and mentoring. I graduated from Trinity College with a B. A. in Religious Studies in 2005, and my passion for education led me to work as an assistant teacher in 4th and 5th grade in CT, and then as a 4th grade teacher and 6th grade English teacher in MA. I earned an M. T. S. from Harvard Divinity School and a Ph. D. in Religious Studies from Harvard University, where I was a Teaching Fellow and received the Bok Center Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. I've also taught at Brandeis University and Mount Holyoke College. I also have extensive experience as a private tutor, specializing in helping students with reading, writing, study skills, test prep, and more. My teaching is guided by mindfulness principles, fostering curiosity, reflection, patience, and compassion to inspire a love of learning.
