About Alexis

Hi! I'm Alexis, a 25-year-old educator and tutor with 3+ years of experience working with students from preK through college. I enjoy getting to know each student and using creative, supportive approaches to build confidence in reading, math, and other subjects. I tailor my teaching to each learner's strengths, interests, and style. I've worked in classrooms, literacy programs, and nonprofits supporting reading interventions, small groups, and enrichment. I also have babysitting experience creating safe, engaging environments, and have worked as a behavioral health technician supporting neurodivergent children. I'm completing my bachelor's degree and have a background in art and ethnic studies. My work in community archives, education, and literacy fuels my passion for helping students learn while honoring their curiosity and backgrounds. I look forward to helping students discover that learning can be meaningful and fun!
