Hi! I'm a CALT-in-training providing specialized dyslexia therapy for students in 2nd grade and above. I have 3 years of public-school experience working with students with dyslexia and have received the Klein ISD Model Teacher Award. I exclusively use Take Flight, a highly regarded, structured, multisensory dyslexia intervention developed through the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children. Take Flight requires extensive specialized training and experience, making it difficult to find locally. As I complete my supervised clinical practicum toward CALT certification, I offer Take Flight therapy at a special practicum rate. This is a unique opportunity to access specialized dyslexia intervention at a significantly lower cost than typical private therapy. This is not general reading tutoring. It is individualized dyslexia therapy designed to build lasting reading, spelling, and confidence.
An Amazing Tutor Who Truly Makes a Difference! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alexia Perry. We worked with Alexia for years, and she made an incredible difference in my daughter’s reading and writing. When we first hired Alexia, my daughter was significantly behind grade level and really struggling with reading and writing. I immediately began seeing results. By the end of the school year, her skills had improved tremendously, and she was reading and writing on grade level! Alexia is extremely patient, caring, and wonderful with children. My daughter truly enjoyed working with her and would actually look forward to her tutoring sessions. She made learning feel comfortable and encouraging while helping my daughter build both her skills and confidence. What I appreciated most was that Alexia didn’t just tutor my daughter—she helped me understand her learning strengths and weaknesses and gave me valuable guidance on how to support her outside of tutoring. She helped us see what was happening behind the scenes, identify the areas my daughter was struggling with, and understand how to address them. I will forever be grateful for Alexia’s dedication, patience, and genuine care for my daughter. I highly recommend Alexia to anyone looking for an exceptional tutor who truly cares about her students and is committed to helping them succeed. She is truly amazing, and we are so thankful for everything she did for our daughter!
