About Alexia

Hi! I'm currently a graduate student pursuing my Master's in Social Work and am spending my summer in NYC for an internship. I'm looking for a flexible babysitting position and would love to support your family! Working with children has been a huge part of my life. As the oldest of five siblings with a 15 year age gap between me and my youngest sibling, I've spent years caring for kids both at home and professionally. I've also worked for years in after school programs as a youth development professional and now serve on the board of my local boys & girls club. Most recently, I provided therapy at a behavioral health hospital, working with children and adolescents ages 5-17. Through these experiences I've learned how important it is to be fully present, a listening ear and create a positive safe space. I genuinely love spending time with kids and am intrigued awe of their curiosity and imagine! My schedule is flexible and I'd love to connect with your family!
