About Alex

From the moment they joined our family in July 2021, Alex brought warmth, dependability, and an exceptional level of care that has had a lasting, positive impact on our home and daughter. From the beginning we formed a nanny-share with another family with a child of the same age and alternated which home we were at each week. The children have grown from barely walking toddlers to confident, kind, smart kids who are ready to conquer kindergarten, all under Alex’s exceptional guidance. Throughout their time with us, Alex demonstrated a deep commitment not only to our children’s safety and well-being but also to their emotional, social, and intellectual development. They consistently engaged our children with thoughtful activities—from creative arts and educational games to outdoor adventures and imaginative play—that supported learning and nurtured curiosity. They made age-appropriate lesson plans and picked activities and books to match the themes. For example, they have a travel suitcase full of library books to match the lesson plan’s themes and would routinely update the books every couple weeks. They’ve also started introducing Spanish into their morning meeting and calendar review with the kids. They tailor their care to each child’s personality and needs, helping our kids grow into confident, compassionate individuals. Alex has always handled responsibilities with the utmost professionalism. They are punctual, organized, and proactive, often anticipating our family's needs before we even voiced them. They communicated openly and kindly with both the children and us, ensuring a harmonious and respectful environment at all times. I have learned so much about how to communicate with my daughter from Alex and will miss my daily opportunity to ask their advice. Beyond their impressive skills and work ethic, Alex is simply a joy to be around. Their calm presence, kindness, and sense of humor made them a beloved part of our family. Alex has a gift with children and has been able to help my daughter not only to be well-prepared for her Kindergarten transition, but to develop into a kind, empathetic, respectful human.
