Alex worked for our organization for over 18 years. As his supervisor, I was impressed with his professionalism, honesty, and compassion. He worked not only as a driver for our adult day participants, but also served as an activity assistant. As an activity assistant, he assisted with programming for our participants, many with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease or other related dementia. He also assisted individuals with personal care needs, such as assistance in the restroom, assistance with feeding, and assistance with ambulating/transferring. He was kind and patient with our participants and was eager to learn new care giving techniques. Alex's attendance was exceptional and he was very kind and respectful.
