About Alexandra

I have 5 years experience working with children and young adults on the austism spectrum as well as those who are not in that category of individuals. I have personal experience with family members who have different abilities including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism and different learning abilities. My skills include the typical tasks of keeping the home in a clean, safe and secure state and involving the individuals I care for in these daily tasks. I have experience with ABA and use of PEC boards for communication. I'm able to read behaviors quickly and deescalate unwanted and challenging behaviors while maintaining trust with the individual I care for. I create a safe space for the individuals I care for to thrive in their individuality as well as being a productive member in today's world. I'm an advocate for all children who are learning about themselves and others. I enjoy working with children and would love to be that extra help you may be seeking!
