About Alexandra

Hi, I'm Alex! I graduated from Linfield University in Elementary Education with a Special Education specialization. I'm pursuing my master's and tutoring before returning to teaching next school year. My experience includes teaching kindergarten, four years in Linfield's preschool, and professional tutoring. I specialize in early childhood learning and foundational literacy: letter recognition, letter sounds, phonemic awareness, blending, and beginning reading and writing. I'm familiar with CKLA and Readsters and can adapt to any curriculum, using my extensive teaching resources to personalize lessons. I have experience supporting learners with disabilities, especially autism. My approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. From kindergarten readiness to reading and elementary homework help, I help children build skills and confidence. I'm reliable, share progress updates, and have my own transportation to meet in your home or at a nearby library!
