I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate, and I tutored for the school and privately during my four years there. I truly thrived in the tutoring field, as I originally was attending school to become a teacher, and shifted to engineering later. Math and Engineering are my strong points, but I am very proficient in English and Science, as well as test preparation. The key thing I learned when it came to teaching my peers the subject matter was finding what worked for them, and that can take some time. Some learn by doing, others need visual clues, or maybe they just need it related to their interests in order to be motivated. I try to stay curious, to figure out what makes them tick so I can connect with them, because there's nothing better than seeing their "A-ha!" moments when they get to understand a concept.
