I'm a warm, playful, reliable caregiver who believes kids learn through play! I've been an uncle to 16 nieces and nephews since 2014, began teaching theatre in 2017, and have spent more than seven years providing one-on-one in-home care for a disabled man, including overnights. Since 2019, I've been a manny to two boys, helping them grow from ages 3 and 6 to 10 and 13. I'm an LA-based teaching artist, SAG-AFTRA actor, and founder of Arroyo Stage & Screen, with a BFA from AMDA and training at The Groundlings. I've taught improv and acting through YADA, Unusual Suspects, and Performing Arts Studio West, including students with disabilities. I love turning routines into games, stories, and adventures, whether we're at a museum, the park, or home on a rainy day, and I bring calm, consistent support to every child. Outside work, I enjoy comedy, making videos, acting classes, cats, and exploring LA. I'm hoping to connect with a family who values creative enrichment and open communication.
We cannot recommend Alex highly enough! He was a 'manny' to our boys for 7 years. We are devastated to lose him as our family moves away. Alex is completely reliable and manages daily routines, school, and emergencies with incredible patience. As a teaching artist, he engages the kids with structure, humor, and emotional intelligence. He is also fantastic with our pets! Alex is a true mentor who helped raise our boys into confident young men. Hire him!
