About Alexander

Hello! I am a current freshman at NYU, majoring in Mathematics on the Honors Track. I received a 1570 SAT score and then spent my senior year privately tutoring seven sophomores and juniors for the PSAT/SAT. Additionally, I tutored Algebra I & II, Precalculus, and Calculus, working with over 15 students. I also have experience as a tennis coach, working with five middle school students. All of my work has been one-on-one, as I believe individualized instruction is the most effective way to learn. I understand the areas in which my students struggle because I have seen peers with these challenges firsthand over the past four years, both in after-school math classes and in the classroom. My personal strengths include maturity and transparency, while my tutoring strengths include a thorough knowledge of Desmos--which is critical for excelling on the Math section of the Digital PSAT/SAT--as well as the ability to create personalized study programs and test-taking strategies.
