About Alexa

Hi! I'm Alexa, a current substitute teacher pursuing my credential and master's degree to become a full-time classroom teacher. I'm passionate about helping students grow academically and build confidence. I have hands-on experience in elementary and middle school classrooms and can support reading, writing, math, homework organization, and study skills. I'm also knowledgeable in AVID strategies and college readiness, so I can guide older students through goal setting, study strategies, and even the college application process. My tutoring style is structured, patient, and personalized to each student's needs. I focus on helping students understand material, build independence, and feel confident in their abilities.
