I'd describe my personality as patient, motivating, and encouraging. I like tutoring because I enjoy seeing others succeed where they were struggling before. I started tutoring when I became a peer tutor for math in middle school. I also tutored while in college, helping elementary students from local families catch up from the COVID 19 pandemic slump. In my spare time, I like to solve puzzles, hike, read books, and play soccer with my kids. One thing you should know about me is that I am pursuing a teaching credential. I am a first-year teacher intern in an Intensive Needs special education classroom, 2nd to 5th grade. I have experience in Special Education as an instructional aide as well, having worked for 2 years in an SDC setting. My skills include being able to use student interests to motivate, and also in using real world examples to make abstract concepts tangible.

He is exceptionally calm, patient, caring, and respectful, and he brings such a steady, reassuring presence when working with kids. Alejandro is also very detailed, reliable, professional, and thoughtful. I always felt completely comfortable knowing my children were in his care. He communicates well, pays attention to the little things, and genuinely seems to care about the kids and their individual needs. I truly cannot think of a single negative thing to say about our experience.
